Wallpaper often gets a really bad rap. It has been associated with bold, bossy and often dated patterns for decades. But, when utilized as a textural and patterned backdrop in a space, the result can be absolutely magical!
When we started designing a bedroom for a new client, something about this Wunderkammer rug from Jaipur instantly seemed to capture her personality and style.
Jaipur Wunderkammer Area Rug
We got to work finding the perfect partner for this contemporary rug. When designing a space, we want the solution to be a long-term one. A solution that feels current, but also timeless, and absolutely reflecting the personality of the family who lives there. This Sanderson paper had a tonal pattern in a larger scale, and was absolutely perfect! The delicate pattern is balanced by the modern scale of the print, and there is instantly amazing energy in this design. By layering this on all the walls, the space instantly feels special and well-tailored.
Maperton Wallpaper in Linen & Cream
With the warmth of color in the new, wool area rug, we wanted to balance the tone in this space and selected this rose-colored hue for the ceiling in the new master suite. In a flat finish, it will warm up the room instantly! This peachy-rose color will change tone over the course of the day as the light hits it differently.
Benjamin Moore Georgia Peach 031
Revere Pewter, in a semigloss finish will be perfect for the trim and doors in the bedroom. Baseboards, window casings, crown moldings and doors will gleam in this wonderful alternative to white.
Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172
We selected these gorgeous watercolors for the client's new room. The linen mats are a deeper tone of the trim color and give visual "weight" to the pieces. The soft tones of the watercolors will be a wonderful springboard for other colors we introduce for bedding, lamps, upholstery and lighting.
