Our client had a generously-scaled bedroom, and was struggling with making it cozy and inviting.  The space had great natural light, tall ceilings and ample square footage.

We started by breaking the room into zones, for sleeping and lounging.  This client loves to curl up and read in her bedroom, so an incredibly comfortable loveseat and lounge chair became a priority.

A colorful and textured area rug inspired the palette for the new space, and anchors & defines the seating grouping.  We wrapped the seating area with a beloved, custom, floor-to-ceiling family gallery for an intensely personal space.

An oval, upholstered ottoman allows for everyone to put their feet up and get comfortable while curling up with a book or tablet.  Full-length draperies in the seating area balance the visual "weight" of the large bed opposite.

Night tables with ample storage were added on either side of the bed, and the headboard wall was wallpapered in a patterned grasscloth for additional texture and interest.

Roman shades were added on the long wall to incorporate softness without overwhelming the space with full-length draperies on all the windows.

The end result was the restful retreat the client was hoping for!  How can we help you create the home of your dreams?
