Your home should be your sanctuary at the end of the day.  A place that fills you with joy, and that is what I LOVE creating for our clients. The importance of home was something that was drilled into me, from a very early age.  Moving 19 times in 19 years made the act of looking for houses and relocating such a regular occurrence, that I thought nothing of packing up my modest, childhood bedroom in anticipation of the next adventure.  Criss-crossing the country and seeing different local styles of living and architecture made me curious about all things “home” whether we were in Rhode Island or New Mexico, or anywhere in between!  Working for three prestigious residential design firms, and with a design degree from University of Wisconsin in my pocket, the time was right to found Nest Interior Design.  Over two and a half decades later, spending time getting to know our clients, and helping them solve their design and remodeling challenges, is STILL truly a thrill!

My inspiration for working in the design world comes from my mother and grandmother.  Their warm and inviting homes instantly put me and everyone who visited them at ease.  Their talent for finding and placing unique new and vintage decor items infuses their homes with their own personal style.  Lucky enough to have grown up in a beautiful home, I innately understood the importance of creating your family’s own, individual space, and that has informed my 15+ year career in residential design and customer service.  Watching the design come together for our clients is as exciting as working on my own home.  Working with clients AND beautiful things, is a match made in heaven for me!

Operations Manager

I have always loved the undeniable feeling of stepping into a home you know is well-loved and cared for - the furniture, the decor, the aroma, the ambiance - and working at Nest has given me the opportunity to experience creating those spaces for our clients from the ground-up. My background is in marketing, strategic communication and project management, and I’ve spent over a decade helping clients solve challenges at advertising agencies in the greater Madison area. I am driven by process and wired for efficiency (fun, right?), and am grateful to be able to flex those muscles as Operations Manager here at Nest.

I am a retired nurse who spent nearly 50 years in health care, and have been blessed to live in a number of great cities across the country - Washington, DC, Oklahoma City, Rochester, MN, Madison, WI. As Nicole’s mother, I’ve been involved at Nest since day one - and I’ve loved every minute of it! Everything from the materials and furniture we get to experience everyday to the lovely clients and projects we’ve had the opportunity to be part of, it’s been an amazing journey getting to help turn houses into homes. During my free time, you’ll likely find me on the Pickleball court or spending time and laughing with my husband, family and friends; whether that’s finding a new restaurant to try, traveling or playing games with my 10 grandchildren.

Design & Operations Assistant

I started at Nest as an intern while I was in school to become an interior designer about seven years ago. And every Fall/Winter, I find my way back to Nest to help the team on a seasonal basis with everything from design and client support to retail store aficionado to team event organizer. When I'm not at Nest, you'll find me at the camp ground I own with my family in Dodge County.
